P7B-Miss Cush

Welcome to Year 6.

Whether you are returnying to school after the summer holidays or are new to our school, we want to make sure that you have all the relevant information you need to know in order for your child to have a smooth start to the academic year.

There are several changes that have taken place at the school over the summer: physical changes, to the classrooms and not forgetting people changes, with new members of the team joining our school, me included!

Over the next few weeks you will have opportunities to meet the key people who will be working with your child as well as finding out about our curriculum and what your child will be learning.

Our pupils have settled in well so far. They are learning about and writing their own recounts in Literacy and exploring various number processes in Numeracy combined with the study of the Vicious Vikings in World Around Us.

Primary 6B operate a pupil Voice programme. Our Pupil Voice representatives this year are: Carley & Ahmed. If any of our P6B pupils have any concerns or worries they can approach Carley & Ahmed in the absence of the teacher.

Primary 6B uses the Class Dojo app as a means of communicating pupil progress to parents. Children with the most accrued points at the end of each week are rewarded with Star of the Week certificates at our Tursday assembly.

Our children will be afforded the opportunity to represent the school this year in sporting activities, clubs and trips. I would personally recommend that they participate in these events and teams as a means of socialising with others and raising self-esteem and confidence.

Stay posted here, for our P6B updates:
